The practical starting point
A long information page becomes easier to scan when its sections have clear headings. Start with the page’s main subject and then use sections for distinct reader questions. A visually large sentence is not automatically the right structural heading.
A workable next step
Create an outline before adjusting font sizes. Check whether each heading makes sense without the paragraph beneath it. Avoid using a heading level merely because its default style is smaller. Review both the outline and the visible page: the structure should explain the relationship between sections while the typography makes that relationship comfortable to read.
Keep in your notes
- Outline the page first.
- Use descriptive section names.
- Separate structure and visual styling.
